" "but in your hearts reverence Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to make a defense to any one who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence; and keep your conscience clear, so that, when you are abused, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame." -1 Peter 3:15-

Theology of the Body: St. John Paul II

On this Theology of the Body our beloved holiness St. John Paul II cited the importance of the unified corporeal (Bodily) and the Spiritual qualities of the Human person its origin, history and destiny of Humanity. It pinpoint out the deepest desires of every hearts and its way to experience a true happiness, freedom and the truth that means need a desire to experience with God as his creator. Man who is created by the God image of God and to understand its sexuality as God's original plan for the Humanity. It focuses about morality and the importance of Human Body as substance which make thing visible as what invisible, it was created to transfer into visible reality of the world. This Theology consist of Five Cycle, the first cycle entitled "The Word of Christ" it centered on the beginning of the creation it called "Original man". Second cycle it addressed human life after original sin unredeemed and redeemed it called "Historical man". Third Cycle it treats about the reality of our life at the end time when Christ comes back again and History reaches at fulfillment called "Eschatological man". At Fourth Cycle St. John Paul II placed his reflection on "Virginity" as preservation for the Kingdom of God. The Last and Fith Cycle is illustration of a human life just like a "Cycle of Life". Aside from the five cycles St. John Paul II presented a series of topics which corresponds from the five cycles. These topics are Marriage, Adultery, Resurrection of the Body. Celibacy and Virginity, Sacrament of Marriage and Contraception. The first topic presented is the Christian Idea of marriage, which it discuss the  Christ answers to the Pharisees when they ask him about whether a man can divorce his wife. Based on Mt. 19:18 it not so cause Man and Women both meant to intermarriage for God's ultimate plan for humanity. Second is Adultery His Holiness explained this a looking at another person to desire them in reductive way that is they views as merely an object of humanly desire, context to Mt 5:27-28. Third is the Resurrection of Body which it analyzes Christ's answer to a Sadducee question about a woman who had to marries seven brothers. Fourth is Celibacy and Virginity which is preservation  for the Kingdom of God it refers to 1 Corinth 7:32-37 and Rev 14:4. Fifth is the Sacrament of Marriage as a sacrament for the preservation for the Humanity. Last is Contraception which is a reflection on the Encyclical litter of Venerable Paul VI, "Humane Vitae" it emphasize on the design of the human body as revealing God's truths. It is explained and reaffirmed the fundamental structure of males and females which cause sexual intercourse, between them to result in both intimacy and the capability of generates new life. As contraception is against the Natural production  of living as it cause downfall to humanity.

Do we need to buy this Tequila (Taqiya)

A Muslim claimed that a priest coverts to Islam

Well this picture been circulated fast growing like a virus. A Muslim with a allege Priest named Fr. Amormeo Mendoza, from Toledo City Cebu, Philippines. From the Photo he is taking a "Shahada" profession or recitation of faith to Allah.

My comment in this picture is without doubt purely a fake/ fake priest a man wearing a vestment like doing a cosplay. Here is a reason why I call it a Fake

1.) Look no one a Priest from the Catholic Church, wears a Liturgical vestment, outside the Liturgical Celebration (Mass) or any other sacramental rites (Blessings). It is make reasonable if a alleged priest wear only clerical or cassock. Nice try but not enough and completely wrong.

2.) A Muslim named Dave Diaz was claiming to be a former Catholic priest that converted to Islam well from this Photo.

It is stated that he is a priest from the Apostolic Catholic Church and not from Roman Catholic Church. Knowing that the Apostolic Catholic Church is a heretic and schismatic group, rejecting the "orthodox teaching or authentic teaching" of Catholic Church. Namely the magisterium, nor the Doctrine of Papal Infallibility and the conditions approved in the Vatican II Council that removed some ancient Christian traditions. This group been founded by John Florentine L. Teruel.

His ordination with John Florentine L. Teruel as a priest of ACC

For the information about this group just click this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostolic_Catholic_Church_(Philippines)

His credibility disputes by his own words.

3.) No one is really aware about Taqiyya. Yes every professed Muslim can do Taqiyya or lying for sake of Allah and this picture say a thousand words.

4.) There is no Priest named Fr. Amormeo Mendoza on Archdiocese of Cebu list of priests, specially from Toledo City. Here is the list from Toledo City.

St. Thomas Aquinas Five reasons Christ Rose from the Dead

Aquinas pores over the New Testament and comes up with five reasons it was fitting for Christ to rise from the dead (ST IIIa, q. 53, art. 1). Here they are.

1. It reveals God’s justice. Because Christ humbled himself and died on the cross out of love and obedience to the Father, God lifted him up by a glorious resurrection.

2. It was necessary for the confirmation of our faith in Christ. Thomas cites Paul, who explains that the resurrection attests to the power of God (2 Cor 13:4).

3. It gives us hope for the resurrection of our bodies. This, of course, is the whole point of 1 Corinthians 15. As Paul writes, “Now if Christ be preached that He rose from the dead, how do some among you say, that there is no resurrection of the dead?" (1 Cor 15:12)

4. It means death to sin and new life in Christ for us. Since we are united with Christ we have not only died with him but been raised with him to newness of life. Thomas cites Romans 6:4, 11: “We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life… 11 So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.”

5. It completes the work of salvation. This is an especially important point that is far too often overlooked. Christ’s death is not the only aspect of his work for our salvation. Again, Thomas cites Paul, who explains that Christ was “put to death for our trespasses and raised for our justification” (Rom 4:25). Most people forget about this verse and simply profess that Jesus died for our salvation--but that's only part of it!

Notice that Thomas pays very close attention to Paul’s language in particular here.

Salvation involves two elements: (1) the payment of the debt due to sin, which is accomplished on the cross (e.g., he was “put to death for our trespasses”) and (2) he is raised for our sakes as well (e.g., "for our justification"). Ultimately, Jesus’ resurrection wasn’t for his sake but for ours. The goal of salvation was not simply to save us from sin, but to unite our humanity to God. Peter explains that we are called to become “partakers of the divine nature” (2 Pet 1:4).

Christ’s resurrection then is the cause of our sharing in the new life of grace―the unity of our humanity with divinity. Salvation isn’t just a matter of being delivered from the punishment due to sin, namely, hell―it also means being delivered to life in God (cf. also ST IIIa q. 56, art. 2; cf. also IIIa q. 57, art. 6.; also see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 654).

Holy Thursday: Washing of the feet

“Unless I wash you, you have no share with me.”

The act of Christ’s humility manifests his Kingly function “To serve and not to be served”. It is an act that Christ shares his love and service to his disciples by washing their feet.

“You call me Teacher and Lord—and you are right, for that is what I am. So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you. Very truly, I tell you, servants are not greater than their master, nor are messengers greater than the one who sent them. If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them. “

-John 13:1-17-

Why we commemorate this in our Liturgy of Holy Thursday? It began since then at the Last Supper by our Lord. Then our Apostle followed Christ example and instructions “To wash one another’s feet”. As our Apostles followed what Christ instructed them to do as the service with humility, it started in 4th century outside Rome as part of Liturgical Celebration of the Early Christians that been headed by the Apostles and so on by the Bishops and Priests as Apostle’s successor. The Council of Toledo in the year 694 included this rite as part in the Liturgy of Holy Thursday in the churches of Spain and France. Rome allowed this rite as part of Liturgy of Holy Thursday during 12th century. Men were chosen to stand as apostles because they wish to serve the Church. They take their place prepared for them and the priest or bishop goes to each of them to wash and wipe their feet.
We have a beautiful tradition from Christ handed down to our apostles, in our century that after the priest washed the disciples’ feet he then kissed it as a sign if his love for a life service like Christ did.

Christ humbly washed the feet of his Apostles

Pope Francis humbly followed what Christ did

Homosexuality and the Church

"Who am I to Judge him."

The Homosexuality has been subjected on a series of prejudices and stereotyping from the radical Christians. What is Homosexuality? This refers to sexual relations between individuals of the same sex. Men may engage in sexual activities with other men, and women with other women. Homosexuality is a Sexual deviation a form of abnormality, anomaly and aberration by way of sex. “Homosexuality is constitutionally rooted, that homosexuals are born and not conditioned, and that hormonal and/or genetic imbalances cause sexual deviation.” (Ellis 1969:210). It is clearly stated that the Homosexuality is a sexual deviation, Psychological abnormality or simply a Human weakness to be conquer of. Homosexuality is not just an inborn but it can be psycho-socially acquired by the means of condition, learning and influence.

In the Bible there are verses that explicitly condemns Homosexuality and been used by the Radical Christians to prejudge and stereotypes people who suffered this Psychological abnormality. Here is the example of a verse from the Bible.

“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. (Romans 1:26–27 KJV)”

Does the verse above condemn the Homosexuality generally? Actually the verse above does not condemn Homosexuality generally or as whole, but it is referring to Homosexual act that corrupt and go against Human Nature or Natural Law. Before we condemn and judge the Homosexuals we must consult first to our Catechesis than misquoting the scripture.

“Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved. “ -CCC 2357-

The CCC states the same sentiments as the scriptures above that the “Homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity” and “contrary to the Natural law”. It follows a notion at CCC 2358.

"The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.” –CCC 2358-

At the CCC 2358 states that there are number of men and women who have deep seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. What is Homosexual tendency?  It more likely a Male or Female who has a attraction to Same-sex but doesnt contradicts to his natures of Being Male or Female. It is just attraction but there is no influenced of Lust so it doesn’t goes to against his nature as Man or Natural Law. This people with Homosexual tendencies been subjected by trial of the “call of the flesh”. They must be not judge nor discriminated but instead support or encourage them to fulfill God’s will in their lives and they must bear the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties as they on battle against “the call of the flesh” and human weakness. In CCC 2359 all Homosexuals were encourage to practice Christian virtues such as chastity, by self mastery that teach them inner-freedom, by prayers and sacramental grace through that achieve Christian perfection that helps to conquer their Human weakness and call of Lust.

“Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.” –CCC 2359-

The Church is simply condemned the “Homosexual acts” such as Sodomites and Transgender that go against beyond the Human Nature or Natural Law. This is graver because Lust influence over their Disorders there are Consumption between his fellow sex, and act like animals, it is not only against its own nature as Man but it goes against its nature against human. The Homosexual act can’t procreate life but instead it is simply a response to the Lust for the own bodily desire.

The Homosexual act cant procreate life and it can cause downfall to humanity.

“Wherefore among sins against nature, the lowest place belongs to the sin of uncleanness, which consists in the mere omission of copulation with another. While the most grievous is the sin of bestiality, because use of the due species is not observed. Hence a gloss on Genesis 37:2, ‘He accused his brethren of a most wicked crime,’ says that ‘they copulated with cattle.’ After this comes the sin of sodomy, because use of the right sex is not observed.” – St. Thomas Aquinas-

If we know someone who been deep seated in Homosexual tendencies or Homosexuals that been struggling from “the call of flesh” (Lust), then we must encourage them to practice chastity and Christian virtues. And we must not forget to pray for them, we are not like those Radical Christians who been prejudice against Homosexuals in general.

Its a matter of Christian morality

Last April 8 2014 the Supreme Court of the Philippines declared the Reproductive Health law (RH Law) as Constitutional but yet except on Sec. 7 and 23 which is declared unconstitutional. Well the fact is it‘s a win-win situation after all. The RH Law is a toothless law as the experts said.

Here is a Pastor from Protestantism (Born Again) who claimed to be a Moral pursuer yet his advocacy is contrary to his Liberal moral stand, and claiming that the RH Law (Advocate of Culture of Death) is Constitutional, biblical and practical. Well let see if he got it correctly on his Liberal moral stand. By the way “Roman Apologist” refers to us Catholic Apologist and he always declare himself as Christian apologist since he claimed that he holds some orthodox doctrine of Christianity, even if not name it “Sola Scriptura etc.” which is a man made doctrine.

He said that the RH Law is Constitutional, yes I won’t argue it since the Law been declared by Supreme Court and I respect that as what the Bishops of Philippines said. But it doesn’t make any sense at all since the SC removed some of its provisions it’s more likely a toothless law.

He said the RH Law is Biblical, “Chapter in verse please” as far as I know life comes from conception and life has capacity to move, reproduce and metabolized. It is the cells have capacity to this and that so therefore there is life in it.  As if there is Life then it must be respected since its beginning it involves the “creative action of God”. Contraception and Abortion is against to the “creative action of God.” Even it is just a cell God design it as life.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” – Jeremiah 1:5-

It is a dismay killing a life that God already design and destined to be his Prophet. Now is that what he called biblical? I don’t think so. What if his parents used contraception and aborted him? Can he preach now as a Pastor?

He said that it is practical, oh yes when Christ been tempt by Satan it so practical to think turning a stone into bread. But this Pastor doesn’t aware that Man cannot live in bread alone, he said it because life these days circulates into Money and yes even spirituality and morality is now practical as well and doesn’t make any sense at all. Turning stone into bread is very practical indeed that Man can disregard the value of compassion and patience as a Christian virtue. Temptation of Satan is indeed practical that every mankind falls to it, so on the RH Law it is practical to subdue life and suppress the population for the good of economy. But the truth is only the private firms can benefit this law and not the poor, what they need is food and jobs not contraception it does make no sense until they realized they can’t eat the rubber condom on their plates, yes that’s it turning stone into bread.

“The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” But he answered, “It is written,

‘One does not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” – Matthew 4:3-4-

This Pastor claim that he preach the word of God but he practice contrary to what he preach very hypocrite, Im not attacking this person personally but Im just pertaining his Liberal Idea which is very dangerous to Christian values more secularize and cowardly stand.
Im saying this as a Conservative Catholic and my Moral view as Pro-Life on this issue, that no True Christian offers a Culture of Death and disregarding the importance of life as “creative action of God”, which is contrary to his belief simply hypocrisy.

"You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said: “‘this people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” – Matthew 15:7-9-

“All life demands struggle. Those who have everything given to them become lazy, selfish, and insensitive to the real values of life. The very striving and hard work that we so constantly try to avoid is the major building block in the person we are today.”

    –Ven. Pope Paul VI-

Exchange between Catholic Apologist and Anti Catholic Protestant (Seventh day Adventist)

This exchange happened months ago on our official FB page "Roman Catholic Mass" on which I worked as a page administrator. A Protestant (Seventh day Adventist) named Isiah Amos wrote his Anti Catholic sentiments on our page wall, I respond with reverence and respect as  I value Christian living.

His statement will be color Red, while my response is in Blue.

Isaiah Amos

Roman Catholic popes are antichrists, false prophets, and sons of the devil. The Roman Catholic system-state is a synagogue of Satan, and Roman Catholicism is a doctrine of demons. The Roman Catholic system-state is not the bride of Christ; it is a hideous harlot, a profane prostitute, a filthy whore. In Holy Scripture, Yahweh Elohim Almighty testifies against Roman Catholic leadership and its followers because of their polytheism, idolatry, blasphemy, seventh-day Sabbath breaking, rebellion against the authority of Yahweh, murder, adultery, stealing, bearing false witness, and covetousness. Yahweh Elohim Almighty decrees: “I am the Lord your God […] You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and made it holy. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” Sin is the transgression of the Law of God, and the wages of sin is death. Therefore, repent! Confess and forsake your sins. Believe in the crucified, resurrected, and exalted Christ, who is the Son of the living God. Believe in the redemptive blood of Christ, which He shed on Calvary’s cross. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned. Repent or perish in hell fire!

Your argument is still baseless and floating I wont argue with you deeper.. God Bless
Before I forget.. Where is your Charity? I speak to your self as a Christian yet you act like unchristian.. Sorry you are just a guest of this page.. So be polite.

So have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?

Did I say that you are my Enemy?? I said earlier that you are just my guest..

Truth? What truth? The truth is our Church founded on 33AD by Christ at Ceassera Phippi through Peter the Rock holding the Authority Keys which what bond from the Earth will bond to Heaven and what ever loose will loose to Heaven. And we have unbroken lineage of Pope from Peter down to Francis.
If you accuse our Pope to be False and Anti-Christ then It is your Problem not ours.. It is like you said that Peter is False and Anti-Christ..

In Greek, the word "pope" means "father." Christ Himself commanded: "Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven" (Matthew 23:9). Therefore, the Roman Catholic "pope" is in direct disobedience to the word of Christ.

Of coarse I know that. What about the commandment #4? I guess you didnt call your Father as your Father out of Respect. How about Abraham he been Called as Father of Nations even Paul was called as Father by the Gentile. Do you think these people commit a offense?

"Honor your father and your mother" as you said earlier on your post..

How can you showed HONOR if you cant call your Father as "Father"?

If you are willing and able, please explain the meaning of Matthew 23:9.

It is referring to the pharisee who prefer to call themselves father out of their pride and does not observed humility.
Why you cant explain? Yet you open up that Argument? I expect that you must explain it not just by quoting it.

If you are unable and unwilling to explain Matthew 23:9, then I understand that you are incompetent to explain the Holy Scripture.

I explain it above it refer to the pharisee who prefer to call themselves father out of their pride.
How about you then? It is a mediocre to quote-a-quote a verse without a further explanation.. As What I said on my first comment is "Baseless and Floating argument". Where is the self serving etiquette now?

In Matthew 23:9, Christ abhors, condemns, and forbids anyone to claim the title, the position, and the power of the Heavenly Father. In satanic arrogance and insolence, the Roman Catholic "pope" assumes the title, the position, and the power of the Heavenly Father. He asserts that he is infallible; he is sinless; he forgives sins; he is to be prayed to; and he is to be worshipped. Therefore, the Roman Catholic "pope" is not obedient to Christ; he is disobedient to Christ.

That is fallacy Christ condemns the arrogant and pride of the pharisee, it does not connect on how the Pope should be addressed and be called. The Catholic Church does not teach your allegation let me explain, infallibility is not the absence of sin. Nor is it a charism that belongs only to the pope. Indeed, infallibility also belongs to the body of bishops as a whole, when, in doctrinal unity with the pope, they solemnly teach a doctrine as true. We have this from Jesus himself, who promised the apostles and their successors the bishops, the magisterium of the Church: "He who hears you hears me" (Luke 10:16), and "Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven" (Matt. 16:19). The right definition of Infallibility is that the Pope is free from error not from sin, as long as the Faith and Moral is concerned and declared it "Ex Cathedra".

Is 22:20-21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah: And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and "he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem", and to the house of Judah.

Is 22:22-23 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house.

THIS PROPHECY IS FULFILLED IN ST. PETER [MATT 16:18] TO WHOM THE KEY OF THE KINGDOM OF THE MESSIAH WAS GIVEN. TOGETHER WITH THE ENTRUSTMENT OF THE KEY ALSO THE GIVING OF THE TITLE ‘FATHER’ TO THE INHABITANTS OF THE
KINGDOM. SINCE ST. PETER IS THE VERY FIRST STEWARD OF THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN FROM THE LORD JESUS HIMSELF THEN HE IS THE FIRST POPE, THE FIRST ‘PAPA’ OF THE KINGDOM OF JESUS.

In Matthew 16:18, Christ gives Simon the name "Peter"; He Himself did not explicitly or implicitly give Simon the title of "pope" or "father." In the Greek language, the name "Peter" means "stone, rock"; it does not mean "pope" or "father."

That is why Jesus change the name into Petrus or Kepha on Aramaic because he will be a Vicar of Christ. Same on Abraham whose his name from Abram his name Change because he is the Father of Nations. Jacob is Change into Israel because he will be a Father on his Tribes.. It same application on Peter he was a Father of the Church because he is the Vicar or the Authority vested on him from Jesus. It is clearly that Isiah prophesied  the creation of Church of Christ and the ordination of Peter. It stated that he will be called "Father to the inhabitant of Jerusalem" because The Catholic Church is the new Jerusalem. At the same manner the newly elected Pope change their name from Baptismal name to Papal name.

You said: "Jesus change the name into Petrus or Kepha on Aramaic because he will be a Vicar of Christ." Which Scripture explicitly states that Christ change Simon's name to "Petrus" or "Kepha"? Which Scripture explicitly states that Simon will be the "Vicar of Christ"?

Which Scripture explicitly states that Christ change Simon's name to "Petrus" or "Kepha"?

"And he brought him to Jesus. And Jesus looking upon him, said: Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is interpreted Peter." -John 1:42-

Which Scripture explicitly states that Simon will be the "Vicar of Christ"?

Vicar is of "earthly representative of God or Christ" but also used in sense of "person acting as parish priest in place of a real parson"

He saith to him again: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? He saith to him: Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him: "Feed my lambs".
He said to him the third time: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he had said to him the third time: Lovest thou me? And he said to him: Lord, thou knowest all things: thou knowest that I love thee. He said to him: "Feed my sheep".

-John 21:16-17-

Christ commissioned Peter to feed his Sheep on place on him.

In John 1:42, Christ called Simon "Cephas," not the "Pope." In John 21:16-17, Christ commands Peter to feed His sheep, not to be the "Vicar of Christ."

Yes he is called Cephas and his people called him "Father" as what prophecy of Prophet Isaiah ( Isaiah 20:21-22, 22-23) fullfield Peter fullfield that Prophecy. About John 21:16-17 And yes it is understood that the flock was comissioned to Peter in the place of Christ. Therefore as what the "Vicar" define he is the eartly representative of Christ, He is the leader of the Church in place of Christ.. The Church has Christ as Head Leader and the Pope is the eartly leader to guide the flock.

In Isaiah 22:20-22, Yahweh Elohim addresses "Eliakim the son of Hilkiah." If Yahweh is addressing "Eliakim the son of Hilkiah," then He is not addressing "Simon the son of John" (John 1:42).

You said: "Therefore as what the "Vicar" difine he is the eartly representative of Christ, He is the leader of the Church in place of Christ.. The Church has Christ as Head Leader and the Pope is the eartly leader to guide the flock." Christ did not send Peter to be the Helper, Comforter, Advocate, and Intercessor of the church; Christ sent the Holy Spirit to be the Helper, Comforter, Advocate, and Intercessor of the church (John 16:7). Christ does not teach that Peter "will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment"; Christ teaches that the Holy Spirit "will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment" (John 16:8). Christ does not teach that Peter will guide "you into all the truth"; Christ teaches that the Holy Spirit "will guide you into all the truth" (John 16:13).

Of coarse Christ sent the Holy Spirit and The Holy Spirit strengthen the Church and his Pope.. I guess I already presented to you some of the verses.. I already refuted your argument.. You forgot that Peter is not just the Leader of Christ Church but also the Head of the Apostles and the Prince of the Apostles.

Isaiah 22:20-22 does not prophecy about Peter. In Isaiah 22:20-22, Yahweh Elohim addresses "Eliakim the son of Hilkiah." If Yahweh is addressing Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, then He is Eliakim the son of Hilkiah. To put it another way, Eliakim the son of Hilkiah is not Simon (Peter) the son of John; and Simon (Peter) is not Eliakim the son of Hilkiah.

Elikim is Simon Peter son of John the prophecy does not explicit reveal the subject. Same goes to the Prophecy of Christ as Missiah was adressed as Emmanuel.. And the fullfilment is First chapters of book of the 4 evangelist.. That Prophecy is fullfield by Peter as Christ gave him Authority the Keys of Heaven linked to Matt 16:18-19.

You said: "That Prophecy is fullfield by Peter as Christ gave him Authority the Keys of Heaven linked to Matt 16:18-19." I cannot discern this link you are talking about. Please explain and expound further.

I explained it all way around, guess better to discern learn more our Catholic Faith.  God Bless.

Correcting the Protestant view of Eucharist

This article is my response to a Protestant (Calvinist) whose also a Apologist like me.

His quotation will be color Red and my response will be color Blue.

"The Communion or the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with His apostles is one of the two Church ordinances stated in the New Testament Bible. But some Churches followed not the exact instruction of Jesus Christ in His Word like the “Partakers” and the “Nature” of it. The Issue of the Partaker is why only the Priest partake the Wine and Nature tackles if whether it is a Transubstantiation or a mere Commemoration of the Death and Resurrection of the Son of God."

To be fair I will response this assumption fairly.

Partaker: Priest Alone?

The Bible never specifies the priest as the “only partaker” of the wine but instead in the general way. Consider the statement “you xxx among yourselves.” of 1 Corinthians 11:24-26; Luke 22:17-20 speaks about all disciples of Christ Jesus.

Yes it is only Ordained Priest alone who have authority to consecrate the Eucharist. It is clearly stated in the Bible that Christ himself is a priest (Hebrew 7:1-21). In which Christ describe as another priest like Melchizedek and from the Order of Melchizedek. It is the duty of the Priest to partake a sacrifice since the time of the Old Covenant. Christ as a fulfillment of the New covenant, obviously Christ holds a Priestly office to hold a sacrifice. Since Christ is a High Priest (Hebrew chap.8) it is the reason that Christ partake his own Body at the Last Supper. And the Apostle who been ordained by Christ follows same instruction, so on to our Priest who follows the Apostolic Succession.

Unfortunately, the Roman Catholic Church believes on the Transubstantiation Theory which it teaches that the bread and wine will become the actual body and wine of Christ when consecrated by the Priest during Mass, though they still look like and taste the same. Thus, the one partaking the communion are literally eating the body of Christ and drinking the blood of Christ.

Transubstantiation is not a theory but a fact that Christ declared “This is My Body” in 1 Cor 11: 23-30 St. Paul declares that the Bread and Wine will became Body and Blood of Christ and at the passage of Mt 26:26-28, Mk 14:22-24, Lk 22:19-20. It is been cleared that Christ declared the Bread and Wine as he said “This is My Body”. Transubstantiation is a Christian Doctrine long the time of Christ and Apostles and not a invention of the Catholic Church.

The KJV version in John 6:53 said “verily, verily.” which implies that Jesus’s statement is “literal” and not “figurative” which made one as vampire and cannibal.

Yet the Catholic Theologians erred in this interpretation because the words “verily” never refer to the “literality” of Christ’s statement but on its “reality or veracity”. The NIV translate it “I tell you the truth”. Therefore, the said statement of Christ implies on its “truthfulness” and in no way to mean it literal.

What they wanted to insist that we LITERALLY partake the actual blood and flesh of Jesus because Jesus said Do this in remembrance of me will force us to admit that JEUS, while saying do this kin remembrance of me, is PARTAKING HIS OWN VERY BLOOD AND FLESH which is very ILLOGICAL TO BELIEVE.

Actually the statement above is a “Logical Fallacy”, as a product of error of understanding. Let say the Bread and Wine turns into actual Body and Blood, does it meant that the communion been subjected to cannibalism? No it is not cannibalism whether the Bread and Wine turns into Body and Blood of Christ, The Eucharist remains as Bread in Physical appearance rather than flesh therefore it is not subjected to cannibalism which is eat flesh. The Body and Blood remains Bread and Wine in Physical appearance but it is the actual presence of Christ that makes the Bread and Wine become his Body and Blood. It is not about being Literal but it is a matter of deep understanding and Theological sense. The Transubstantiation is not theory but fact and Mystical works of God. Actually this argument of cannibalism been used by the Roman Pagans, so that it gives a reason to persecute Christians.

Consubstantiation

Martin Luther believes that the bread and wine will become the actual body and blood of Jesus Christ but this only happens to the “faithful believers” who partaken the said Communion. It does not cover to the all partakers. It is the same argument with Catholic Defenders; only that it only stresses to faithful believers.

Clearly a Heretical view of Martin Luther, he attempt to agree and holds the belief that the bread and wine will become the actual body and blood of Jesus Christ, yet simply denying the Transubstantiation. It is clearly that he want a distinction between him and the Catholic Church, it stresses on the presence of the Faithfull believers rather than the presence of Christ that sanctify the Bread and Wine. So therefore it more likely symbolical rather than an “Actual presence of Christ at the Eucharist”, Symbolical is different from the actual presence of the Lord that it can sanctify and heal the soul for those who receive.

Memorialization

This doctrine is Scriptural which teaches that the bread and wine are “mere symbols” to remind and aid the believers in observing both the first and second coming of Christ. The teaching that the priest can turn the bread into the actual flesh of Jesus and the wine into the actual blood of Christ during the Eucharist is not taught in the Bible and thus makes every partaker as cannibals and vampires.

Dr Isidro said, “According to this teaching, during the Eucharist, Jesus goes through another “act of sacrifice”. But the Bible clearly teaches that Jesus suffered only once and therefore doesn’t need to die again. He died once according to Hebrews 7:24-27; 9:12, 24-25; and 10:11-12.”

This Memorialization theory is supported by 1 Corinthians 11:24-26 and Luke 22:18-19 by the statement “do this in remembrance of me”. That is an Ordinance for the Church to do.

The Memorialization is a theory and it is purely deferent to the Catholicism’s Eucharistic Celebration. The Memorialization is just a show or it doesn’t take importance to the Salvation. We Catholics celebrate the Eucharist with a High reverence (Adoration) as it the presence of Christ at the Eucharist that died for the sins of mankind. Yes Christ died once but we celebrate his mystery of death and resurrection, The Eucharistic Celebration is the highest form of prayer, so how about Memorialization of Protestant? Clearly it is just a memorialization rather than a highest form of prayer like Catholic does. Lifting the Sacrifice as like Christ did and his Apostles and so to our Priest, again it is fallacy to say it is cannibalism because Christ did that, Apostle did it again passed on to our Priest. It’s more likely that 1 Corinthians 11:24-26 supports the Eucharistic Celebration rather than memorialization. Why? Because St. Paul takes importance to the Bread which is Christ the Bread of Life, to those who eat his Body the soul shall be healed. The statement “do this in remembrance of me” is not just a memorial but it is a instruction that he leaves to his Apostles to celebrate the supper of the Lamb.
I guest he forgot this verse "Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord" 1 Corinthians 11:27 even St. Paul calls it a sacrilege because he believe the Christ present on the Eucharist not as a symbol.

Why we veil Crucifix and Icons during Passiontide??

    Christ hid Himself

It is a ancient practice dated back during the Early Christians as part of Liturgical practices, it is done during the 5th Sunday of the Lent the beginning of Passiontide. It is a reminder to on how Jesus hid Himself away from the Jew, a conflict between Jesus and the Jews arose when Jesus claimed to be a God.

"Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, before Abraham was, I am.” So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple." John 8: 58-59

Jesus "hid Himself" in fact became invisible by virtue of his Divine Nature. According to St. Augustine:

" He hides not Himself in a corner of the temple, as if afraid, or running into a cottage, or turning aside behind a walls or column: but by His Divine Power making him invisible, He passed through their midst." - St. Augustine-

To signify this mystery, Crucifix and Images of Christ are veiled with purple or black in the evening before 5th sunday of  lent. Along with the images of Saints, for it befitting that the Glory of the Master hidden then his faithful servants should likewise  not to appear.

It is also that in this Lent we focus our self to the spirituality of Paschal Mysteries of Christ.

Boom!! Boom!! Big Bang!!

 There is Nothing!!! Nothing!!! Nothing!!!!

In the scientific sense and according to Big Bang "Universe expanded from an extremely dense and hot state and continues to expand today. A common analogy explains that space itself is expanding, carrying galaxies with it, like spots on an inflating balloon. The graphic scheme above is an artist's concept illustrating the expansion of a portion of a flat universe".

So this so called "extremely dense and hot state" where did it come from??

The origin of this state is comes from "NOTHING" space before the Universe exist.. How could it be that these "extremely dense and hot state" from a Nothing yet it exist by the bursting light explosion of atoms. Since Nothing is nothing and can’t create a thing.

It is already stated: "That the Universe began from a singular state of "INFINITE" density." [Gorier Encyclopedia of Knowledge 1998 ]

So what is this Infinite Density??

Does the Infinite presence of God involved in the Creation of Universe??

Genesis 1:1-3 (Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition)

“In the beginning God created heaven and earth. 2 And the earth was void and empty, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God moved over the waters. 3 And God said: Be light made. And light was made.”

In the Genesis the things stated from Nothing, Empty space, Dark and Void. Until God commanded the Light will be made. Paradox to the Big Bang "extremely dense and hot state" and Infinite Density, from Nothing the light matters of atomic energy pooped up in the Nothing mass and it created the Universe. Even science cannot tell the fact that this "extremely dense and hot state" is existed without concrete scientific explanation. So they conclude that this "extremely dense and hot state" or a Light atomic energy that pooped up is come from "singular state of Infinite Density".

Is this because GOD is the infinite being who created the Universe?Yet science finds a hard time to understand this?

It is simple that because of the Infinite being all are created orderly and exist in their own existence.

It is impossible that the Universe is created without the Infinite presence of God. Whatever begins to exist has a cause, The Universe began to exist and therefore, the Universe had a cause it is simple as that. I remember on a Theist-Atheist debate according to Richard Dawkins a Militant Atheist against Cardinal Pell. Dawkins stated that “out of nothing the Universe can be created.” Until Cardinal Pell replies “It is funny to define Nothing” it is very senseless to Dawkins that a Nothing can create a being or material. Whereas every beginner there is causality it is impossible to a statue that to be emerged without the Sculpture, same as Fire without energy as well as Light and oxygen, who come the Universe is emerge from Nothing then who lit the Light?? It is Nothing who lit the Light. Well it is the Dawkins' problem now.

Definition of Nothing

Noth-ing n. Not any thing: Part of portion. (cf Webster’s dictionary)

Problem of Evil, problem of existence

Evil might absence of God

Evil is the major problem with belief in a God, it objects the notion of theism that God who is omnipotent, omniscient and benevolent. If God has these three attributes that describes God. It is pretty ironic why the world has much suffering some of it on an overwhelming scale; examples are crimes, wars and famines among these shows that Evil is the absence of God. First we must define what is Evil, Evil is absence of goodness, an ignorance and absence of Love. But it has to do as absence of God??  Since we theist describe God as Love, it happened that Evil is absence of Love. St. Augustine explained that “the God made a perfect world, but that human turned away from God of their own freewill, and that is how evil came into the world.” St Augustine also added: “Since God is the highest good. He would not allow any evil to exist in his works, unless His omnipotence and goodness where such as to bring good even out of evil.”  God does not create evil but he just simply allow evil to exist in order to test the obedience or dominions to Him, God respects his gift to us because of His love to His creations and that is “freewill”. Because of freewill it us humans who will choose between the Rightness and Wrongness, because of deception of the Devil we often choose the wrongness since then from Adam we’re fall because of wrong choice. Man sinned against God caused Man to be Imperfect it is a factor that we been distance from God since Sin is a thing that separate us from God, but we always seek to him. Because of the Imperfectness of Humans, we have lack of knowledge about things with true significance. We always question that “Why God created volcanoes that can cause death and destruction? It may appear to us as to be tragedy may have effects that bring about great good and appear to us as good thing, even do proved to be harmful. Here is a simple analogy that I've learned: He knows the needle hurts, and he can’t understand why his own parents are allowing the doctor to cause him pain, that the inoculations help prevent the much greater suffering of disease. He’s unable to perceive the greater good." Same goes with the volcano, when it erupt it cause lots of destruction but in a long run it provides landmasses and surrounding landscape with nutrient enriched fertile soils. God is All knowledge may have good reasons for things, even pain and suffering, that we unaware of. And so he allows evil to exist because of his infinite knowledge. God never leave nor want his people to suffer it is a matter of faith and hope, like Job been describe as the “most miserable man ever lived” he been suffered much most of his life but, granted by the Grace of God because of his patience, virtue and faith. “We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him” - Romans 8:28 -

As we can see how his power and knowledge can bring good out of evil in way that we with our limits aren't able to comprehend. It is a matter of Faith.
Here is another answer from a Catholic Apologist Matt Fradd of Catholic Answer.

Evil, An Argument for God

“In fact, rather than disproving God’s existence, the reality of evil actually points to it, in an indirect way. If evil exists, then it follows that morality exists. If morality exists, then it follows that God exists.

Moral laws point to a moral law-giver. It’s only within a moral framework that the sufferings of this life can have any meaning. It may be a mystery why an all-good God allows suffering and evil to take place, but at least on this view there is meaning and purpose, and God can ultimately bring about justice and draw good out of the sufferings of this life.”

"Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head, and he fell to the ground and worshiped. He said,

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked I shall return there.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God."  - Job 1:20-22 -

We must take Job as a example that evil can be conquered if we believe that God can bring good out of evil.

Science and the Existence of God

       Scientifically, God does not exist

This is a popular and common objection to Atheists' arguments, they always denies that science might object the position about His existence as well to the idea of Theism. They may argue that the idea of God may come from the hypothesis of the scriptures (Bible) and other literary. If the Idea of God was taken from scriptures and literature then, they will think that idea is product of imagination and it can't be prove by Science. Because of lack of evidences the scripture is not enough to prove the Existence of God, if the evidence is to be true then it has to be scientifically proven otherwise the idea of God or His existence might be absurd or illogical. Well the evidence on of the Existence of God is not only reviled through the Scriptures but rather by the Truth. And that Truth is the Divine Revelation so it classifies into two the Scriptures and the Human Reason. Well as this argument is concerned on Scriptures that need to be proven by science so I use the Human Reason (Since Human Reason it correlates to Scientia "Knowledge" or science). As Science is concern regarding the Existence of God then it applies its Creation of the Nature and its design of Nature The argument of Design (Anatomy/Biology) and The argument of First mover (Physics) so far from these two arguments it is simply adopt from two fields of Science, therefore there is no contradictions on proving the Existence of God through science. So it is no absurd on it. As on Human Reason at the other hand, whether the Atheists always insist the God does not exist. Then God always existed in every Ideas of the Human mind (The idea of God exists in the mind: St. Anselm's Ontologicals Arguments), no wonder for a Atheist always insist on the absence of God then God exist in their minds. Therefore even Atheists cannot evaluates or explain why God does not exist they will simply say "It does not Exist" there for it is a idea of rejecting God and does not disapproved the existence of God. The Ideas of Atheist is simply more contradicting to science rather than to Theism. Since Human reason is one of the Divine Revelations to understand His Existence then "I think therefore I exist, therefore God exist". Let’s take a look on the scriptures again, before the Atheists will denies the Scripture it is so very prejudicing if they well say: "Bible is a literary myth." I will show some of the verses on the scripture that proves the creation and Argument of design correlates with science.
